Friends in Amsterdam, join us in celebrating the opening of The Prince Claus Fund Gallery exhibition ‘Freedom, Theatre, and the Oppressed’ starting on Liberation Day – 5 May 2015 – and continuing until May 7, with screenings and performances by The Freedom Theatre and our Dutch partners Theatre Hotel Courage!

The Prince Claus Fund Gallery exhibition Freedom, Theatre, and the Oppressed places The Freedom Theatre’s work in the greater context of theatre as a means of resistance for the marginalised and oppressed.

Opening Freedom, Theatre, and the Oppressed with a performance by The Freedom Theatre. The exhibition is curated by Yazan Khalili & Lara Khaldi. Prince Claus Fund Gallery, Herengracht 603, Amsterdam. Free entrance.

Screening of Journey of a Freedom Fighter followed by a Q&A with The Freedom Theatre, moderated by Katrien van Beurden of Theatre Hotel Courage. Prince Claus Fund Gallery, Herengracht 603, Amsterdam. Free entrance.

Performance of ‘Courage, Ouda, Courage’ by Theatre Hotel Courage & The Freedom Theatre at Podium Mozaiek in Amsterdam. Entrance €10.
