On Thursday April 20 at 11:30, The Freedom Theatre presents ‘Beit Biut’, a puppet show written by Mohamed Farouj and directed by Firouz Nastas from Bethlehem.
The play tells the story of Sami, who spends all day alone without playing with other children because he is in a wheelchair. Sami resorts to the imaginary world to learn about the Palestinian popular figures Hadidoun and Nasees. After several attempts to help Sami, they find the right solution together.
The Beit Biut team attempts to revive the Palestinian traditional art of storytelling and folk tales through this puppet play that combines three popular Palestinian stories, creating links between the past and present and instilling in the hearts of children the memories and emotions of the older generation.
