The Freedom Theatre recently welcomed Al-Harah Theatre from Beit Jala to perform their latest play, Eid with Farid. We had a full house with kids queuing for over an hour to make sure they got a front row seat!

The story revolves around the family of Abu Fred, the mailman who delivers Christmas cards around the world while his wife is busy with preparations for the holiday. Their little boy, Fred doesn’t want to celebrate the holiday and only dreams of travelling with his father to explore the world! His wish is fulfilled and he goes on a journey to deliver the messages of peace, love and prosperity while discovering new people, cultures and a whole new world!

The General Secretary of the Freedom Theatre, Mustafa Sheta welcomes this cooperation between The Freedom Theatre and Al-Harah Theatre which contributes to the development of theatre and the performing arts in Palestine. Mustafa says “These shows are created to specifically engage with children, to allow for long-term sustainability in creating a relationship between theatre, arts and the children; through this, we hope to continue creating and developing a generation that can use the arts and culture to freely express themselves through both innovation and creativity.”

Thank you to our friends at Al-Harah Theatre for bringing the play to Jenin and we look forward to working together again soon!
