March 8 marks International Women’s Day. The Consulate General of Sweden welcomes you to a joint cultural event with the Palestinian Performing Arts Network (PPAN) on 7 March at 12:00 at Nablus Manucipality Center – Hamdi Manko, in cooperation with The Freedom Theatre and local communities.
The cultural event will highlight stories of Palestinian rural women through performances by The Edward Said National Conservatory of Music, Darb Popular Dabkeh Troupe, Rasa’al Art Theatre Group, Nablus Circus School, among others. Women organisations will showcase their specialization in embroidery, local food, etc.
Looking forward to celebrating the achievements of Palestinian women and highlighting the challenges faced towards gender equality and women’s full participation in all sectors of society. For The Freedom Theatre, the struggle for women’s liberation is an integral part of our cultural resistance and we are proud to co-host this event.
