Filmmaking for Youth
Those trained in the Cinema Talent Campus are in turn responsible for providing Filmmaking Workshops for youth in the Jenin area, offering young boys and girls the opportunity to develop new skills in all aspects of filmmaking. Theoretical classes are combined with practical exercises and students produce their own short films which are presented to the community.
Through this project, The Freedom Theatre aims to encourage the young generation to explore new forms of creative self-expression through the powerful medium of cinema. At the same time, by having its older trainees teach youth it also aims to instil in its participants a strong sense of empowerment and responsibility towards their community.
