Performances and workshops in theatre and performing arts currently take place in a rented building in the heart of Jenin Camp. Considering the rapid growth of The Freedom Theatre and its activities programme, it is clear that these spaces will soon be insufficient to meet the continuously growing demand.
The Freedom Theatre is therefore currently developing plans for building a new, professional theatre in Jenin, which will be able to serve the populations of the camp, Jenin City as well as surrounding villages. A piece of land has already been purchased and plans for the new building have been drawn up. Building work will begin as soon as sufficient funding has been guaranteed for the project.
